Introduction To Explosion-Proof Emergency Lights

Jul 01, 2026 Leave a message

Explosion-proof emergency lights are emergency lighting devices designed for hazardous environments where explosive atmospheres may be present; they are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemicals, and defense. These products generally fall into two categories: dedicated emergency lights and dual-purpose lights that serve both standard and emergency lighting functions.

The fixtures feature a cast aluminum alloy housing with a powder-coated finish and a tempered glass lens, achieving an IP65 ingress protection rating. Equipped with a built-in maintenance-free battery pack, they automatically switch to emergency lighting mode upon a mains power failure; the system offers rapid response, typically providing at least 90 minutes of emergency illumination. They support various mounting configurations, including wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted options.
