Turkmenbashi Refinery: 3,328 Explosion-Proof LED Lights

Hangzhou, China – SAHUNG, a global leader in industrial LED lighting solutions, has successfully completed a landmark lighting project for the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) in Turkmenistan. As the largest integrated oil refining base in the country, this facility represents a critical infrastructure hub for Central Asia and the Caspian Sea region. SAHUNG provided over 3,328 sets of specialized industrial lighting to ensure safety, visibility, and operational efficiency across the massive complex.

Located in the city of Turkmenbashi on the Caspian coast, the TCOR is operated by the State Concern "Turkmennebit." With an annual crude oil processing capacity of 10 million tons, the complex is vital for producing European-standard gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, asphalt, and polypropylene.

Given the hazardous nature of oil refining environments-characterized by flammable gases, corrosive substances, and extreme weather conditions-standard lighting solutions are insufficient. The project required fixtures that could guarantee explosion-proof safety while delivering high luminous efficacy to reduce energy consumption across the vast facility.

SAHUNG deployed its robust BAF97R81 Series and BAF9018-C explosion-proof and industrial floodlights to meet the rigorous demands of the refinery.
